Spiritual Activities Abhishek, Aarti & Satsang at our Shiv Mandir in Gurugram
Every day at the Dham is an offering to Mahadev, through water and belpatra, lamp and song, scripture and seva.
A Day at the Dham Begins and Ends with Shiva हर दिन महादेव के चरणों में
At Shiv Parmarth Dham, a Shiv Mandir on Pataudi Road in Gurugram, devotion is lived every day. The doors open at 5:30 AM, and water flows over the Shivling in a steady jaldhara. Belpatra and flowers are offered, and the Dham fills with the chant of Om Namah Shivaya.
In the evening, lamps are lit for the aarti at 7 PM. On special days the satsang hall fills with families for bhajan and kirtan. These practices follow the path shown by our founder, Sant Shri Hemraj Maharaj Ji: devotion to God, expressed through service to all.
ॐ नमः शिवाय
"I bow to Shiva." These are the five sacred syllables at the heart of every activity at the Dham.

Five Syllables, Five Elements नमः शिवाय — पंचाक्षर मंत्र
Tradition holds that the five syllables of "Namah Shivaya" stand for the five elements that make up all creation, and that Shiva lives in all of them.
- नNaEarth · पृथ्वी
- मMaWater · जल
- शिShiFire · अग्नि
- वाVaAir · वायु
- यYaSpace · आकाश
Chant Om Namah Shivaya 108 times on a rudraksha mala, in the morning or before the evening aarti. You can do it at the Dham or at home. A few quiet minutes with the mantra each day steadies the mind and deepens devotion.
How to Offer Jalabhishek शिवलिंग पर जल अर्पण की सरल विधि
Coming to the Shivling for the first time? Here is the simple, traditional way to offer water to Mahadev at the Dham.
- Prepare with a calm mind
Wash your hands and feet, remove your footwear and come before Mahadev with a calm mind.
- Offer water slowly
Pour water or Ganga jal from a copper or brass lota in a thin, steady stream while chanting Om Namah Shivaya.
- Offer belpatra & flowers
Place belpatra with its smooth side facing the Shivling, then offer white flowers.
- Do half parikrama
Walk around the Shivling from the left and stop at the jaldhari (the outlet where the water flows). Don't cross it; turn back the same way.
- Pray & take prasad
Bow with folded hands, share your prayer with Mahadev, and accept prasad with gratitude.
