शारदीय नवरात्रि माँ दुर्गा के नौ स्वरूपों की आराधना का पर्व है। पहले दिन शुभ मुहूर्त में घट (कलश) स्थापना करके नौ दिन तक माँ की पूजा, पाठ और व्रत किया जाता है। नीचे मुहूर्त, कलश सामग्री, पूरी विधि और नौ दिनों का कैलेंडर दिया गया है।Shardiya Navratri is the festival of the nine forms of Maa Durga. On the first day the ghat (kalash) is installed in an auspicious muhurat, followed by nine days of puja, path and fasting. ➕ साथ में रखें: मिट्टी का पात्र, शुद्ध मिट्टी और जौ (जवारे के लिए), रोली, अक्षत (चावल), सुपारी, दूर्वा, फूल-माला, धूप-दीप, घी, लाल वस्त्र और चौकी।Also keep: a clay pot with clean soil and barley (for jaware), roli, akshat (rice), betel nut, durva grass, flowers, incense, a ghee lamp, red cloth and a chowki.
सावधानियाँGood to know
स्थापना करते समय ध्यान रखेंKeep in mind while installing
- कलश को साफ स्थान पर चौकी पर रखकर स्थापना करें।Install the kalash on a chowki in a clean place.
- कलश में गंगाजल को सामान्य जल के साथ मिलाकर भरें।Fill the kalash with gangajal mixed with ordinary water.
- नारियल की आँख ऊपर की ओर होनी चाहिए।The eyes of the coconut should face upwards.
- नारियल की जटा (जो रेशे अधिक होते हैं) को इतना रखें कि वह पानी में भीग जाए।Keep enough coir (fibres) on the coconut so that it touches the water.
- कलश पर चुन्नी चढ़ाकर कलावा से बाँध दें।Drape the chunri on the kalash and tie it with kalava.
- मुहूर्त के समय श्रद्धा, मंत्रोच्चार और देवी की आराधना करें।At the muhurat, worship the Devi with devotion and mantras.

स्थान शुद्ध करेंPurify the place
पूजा स्थान साफ करें, गंगाजल छिड़कें और ईशान कोण (उत्तर-पूर्व) में चौकी रखकर लाल कपड़ा बिछाएँ।Clean the puja place, sprinkle gangajal and place a chowki with a red cloth, ideally in the north-east corner.

जौ बोएँSow the barley
मिट्टी के पात्र में शुद्ध मिट्टी डालकर जौ बोएँ। यही जवारे नौ दिन में अंकुरित होते हैं।Fill a clay pot with clean soil and sow barley. These jaware sprout over the nine days.

कलश भरेंFill the kalash
कलश पर स्वास्तिक बनाएँ, कलावा बाँधें। गंगाजल मिला जल भरें और लौंग, इलायची, सिक्का, हल्दी की गाँठ, सुपारी व अक्षत डालें।Draw a swastik on the kalash and tie kalava. Fill it with water mixed with gangajal and add cloves, cardamom, a coin, turmeric root, betel nut and akshat.

आम के पत्ते लगाएँPlace the mango leaves
कलश के मुख पर 9 या 11 आम के पत्ते इस तरह रखें कि उनका अग्रभाग बाहर की ओर रहे।Arrange 9 or 11 mango leaves around the mouth of the kalash with the tips facing outwards.

नारियल स्थापित करेंSet the coconut
नारियल पर लाल चुन्नी लपेटकर कलावा बाँधें और आँख ऊपर की ओर रखते हुए कलश पर स्थापित करें।Wrap the coconut in red chunri, tie kalava and set it on the kalash with its eyes facing up.

आवाहन और संकल्पInvocation and sankalp
शुभ मुहूर्त में गणेश जी का स्मरण कर माँ दुर्गा का आवाहन करें, हाथ में जल-अक्षत लेकर नौ दिन का संकल्प लें।In the muhurat, remember Shri Ganesh, invoke Maa Durga and take the nine-day sankalp with water and akshat in your hand.

अखंड ज्योतिAkhand jyoti
यदि संकल्प हो तो घी का अखंड दीपक जलाएँ और नौ दिन तक उसे बुझने न दें।If you have taken the vow, light a ghee akhand jyoti and keep it burning for all nine days.

प्रतिदिन माँ के उस दिन के स्वरूप की पूजा, दुर्गा सप्तशती या दुर्गा चालीसा का पाठ और आरती करें।Every day, worship that day's form of the Devi, read the Durga Saptashati or Durga Chalisa and perform aarti.

Kanya Pujan is held on Ashtami-Navami. Devotees who cannot come can book a Navratri puja or Durga Saptashati path in their own name.

The ghatasthapana muhurat is 6:19 AM to 10:12 AM. If you miss it, the Abhijit muhurat is 11:44 AM to 12:31 PM (Gurugram time).
कलश में क्या-क्या डालना चाहिए?What should be put inside the kalash?
गंगाजल मिला जल, लौंग, इलायची, चांदी या सामान्य सिक्का, हल्दी की गाँठ, सुपारी और अक्षत। मुख पर 9 या 11 आम के पत्ते और ऊपर चुन्नी में लिपटा नारियल रखें।
Water mixed with gangajal, cloves, cardamom, a silver or ordinary coin, turmeric root, betel nut and akshat. Place 9 or 11 mango leaves at the mouth and a coconut wrapped in chunri on top.
नारियल किस दिशा में रखें?Which way should the coconut face?
नारियल की आँख (मुख) ऊपर की ओर रहनी चाहिए और उसकी जटा इतनी रखें कि वह कलश के जल को छुए।
The eyes of the coconut should face up, with enough coir left to touch the water in the kalash.
कन्या पूजन कब करें?When is Kanya Pujan?
इस वर्ष दुर्गा अष्टमी और महानवमी दोनों 19 अक्टूबर को हैं, इसलिए कन्या पूजन 19 अक्टूबर को किया जा सकता है।
This year Durga Ashtami and Maha Navami both fall on 19 October, so Kanya Pujan can be done on 19 October.
